We are looking for an experienced North Carolina-licensed Family Law attorney. Prefer 3 years or more of state court experience in actually conducting hearings and trials, but will consider less experience for the right candidate. Must be a self-starter capable of working with a minimum of supervision, and able to manage work with paralegals on cases from start to finish. This is an active courtroom position as a first-chair trial lawyer. Candidate to manage their own case load with mentorship as desired. Qualifications are
- Actual hearing and trial experience, preferably in North Carolina courts. Time in court should be something you look forward to (past the typical jitters) and are not prone to avoid.
- The ability to manage a case load and work with paralegals and others to keep work flowing, provide a very high client satisfaction rate, and achieve good results under the circumstances. You must be well organized, self-motivated, and like what you do.
- Very strong writing and grammar skills. This is a point of emphasis here as it is about 80% of what we do every day.
- Ability to work with computer-based systems--everything is scanned and accessible on any device, we use Clio to manage our cases, and we use Office365 applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- A people-driven orientation to life--we are serious about being positive parts of each other's lives in the office, and in the lives of the people we represent and deal with in the system.
- MUST BE ABLE TO CAPTURE time spent for client matters consistently in order to meet minimum billing requirements.
