About the Director of Development Role
The Family Law Attorney is a key member of the SRFJC team who provides critical direct legal service to clients. Given the SRFJC's mission, the attorney we are seeking has a strong, demonstrated commitment to public interest and is motivated to serve victims of interpersonal violence. The attorney is a skilled and thoughtful communicator with the ability to remain calm and focused when faced with unexpected challenges.

Provide assistance with Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse Restraining Order petitions
Represent clients in domestic violence and elder abuse restraining order hearings
Represent clients in family law proceedings
Work collaboratively with case managers to ensure clients are fully supported
Provide support as needed to members of the legal team
Maintain strong records and necessary service logs to assist with grant reporting
Minimum Education Level: Must have a JD and active membership with the California State Bar
Experience Required: Two or more years of experience in family law or related legal field
