Overview:As an Associate Attorney, you will work with a team of attorneys to provide legal advice and representation to our clients. The ideal candidate for this position will support our practice by managing and litigating family law cases. You will be expected to execute and implement case strategy from consultation through final judgment, including any trial on the merits and subsequent appeals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct consultations that convert leads to clients.
- Providing legal support and guidance, and advising clients on the best behavior.
- Finding ethical solutions to legal matters.
- Strategizing on how to resolve the clients' cases in a favorable manner.
- Attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Assisting in the preparation of pleadings, discovery/discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents.
- Ability to draft and argue motions and conduct depositions.
- Manage paralegals and support staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in family litigation.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Ability to delegate and prioritize, as necessary.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of Clio Grow & Clio Manage is a plus.
