Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of family law and have experience in various legal practices. This role involves direct management of the family law practice division and requires the ability to handle every aspect of each client from inception to completion. The candidate must be comfortable working with your support staff to handle trial preparation, trials, hearings, and meetings, as well as managing case files and conducting legal research. The candidate will have the opportunity to hire and manage necessary support staff and attorneys.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead case preparation, including drafting legal documents and correspondence related to family law matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
  • Prepare and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
  • Manage schedules for court appearances, meetings, and deadlines.
  • Support litigation processes by gathering evidence, preparing exhibits, and assisting during trials.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to ethical standards in legal practice.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Family Law attorney.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to family law and litigation.
  • Familiarity with various areas of law including estate planning, environmental law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and negotiation skills is advantageous.
  • Proficient in legal research techniques and tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a law office setting is highly desirable.
