Job Summary:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Family Law Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. Duties:
- Provide expert legal counsel and representation in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, visitation, and spousal support disputes
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity
- Negotiate favorable settlements on behalf of clients through effective communication and advocacy
- Manage all aspects of casework from initial consultation through trial or settlement resolution
- Maintain detailed case records and ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases involving estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and other legal areas as needed
- Conduct client interviews to gather pertinent information and provide clear guidance on legal options
- Utilize legal research platforms such as Westlaw to stay current on relevant laws and precedents
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 2 years family litigation experience required
- Proven experience practicing family law with a track record of successful case management and client advocacy
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve mutually beneficial resolutions
- Excellent legal research skills using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence
- Familiarity with litigation processes from pleadings to courtroom procedures
- Legal administrative experience to efficiently manage case files and documentation
