As our family law team continues to grow, we are seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to support our lead attorneys in managing complex domestic matters while delivering exceptional service and communication to our clients.

This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys strategy, client interaction, case management and collaborative teamwork. The attorney in this role will primarily focus on non-litigation responsibilities, supporting lead counsel throughout the lifecycle of the family law matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Support lead attorneys in a variety of family law matters, including: divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, alimony/post-spousal support, separation agreements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, gather information, and maintain a strong client relationship
  • Assist with case strategy, organization, and preparation for hearings, mediation, and trials
  • Review and analyze financial documents and discovery materials
  • Coordinate with paralegals and support staff to ensure cases move efficiently
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda as needed
  • Attend mediation, settlement discussions, and occasional court appearances as necessary
  • Maintain accurate billing and case management records

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Prior family law experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates with relevant internship, clerkship, or litigation experience
  • Excellent research skills utilizing Westlaw or LexisNexis for complex legal issues
  • Proficiency in legal drafting and writing skills to produce clear and persuasive documents
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures and courtroom procedures for family law cases
  • Legal administrative experience including managing case files and documentation efficiently
