Our team is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal, with a strong work ethic, to join us in serving clients navigating family-related legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal representation to clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, child support, domestic violence, and adoption.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, settlement agreements, and other family law-related filings.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies, preparing memoranda, and analyze legal issues.
  • Assist in case preparation for hearings, trials, and mediations, including preparing exhibits and preparing clients for proceedings.
  • Represent clients in court for hearings, motion dates, and settlement conferences under the guidance of senior attorneys.
  • Manage a caseload, ensuring timely filing of documents, maintaining proper records, and meeting all deadlines.
  • Collaborate with senior attorney and staff to develop case strategies, discuss potential outcomes, and keep cases moving efficiently.
  • Participate in client meetings, strategy sessions, and case reviews.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active state bar membership in New Jersey, and being licensed in New York is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in family law.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks effectively, prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
  • In-depth knowledge of family law procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stay at top of deadlines.
  • Proficiency in online systems such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Zoom.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with family law software such as LEAP, Family Law Software, or similar tools.
  • Law clerkship preferred.
  • Salary is based on skill and experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
