Responsibilities:
What Our Associate Attorneys Do:
- Attend court hearings, perform legal research, and collaborate with associate attorneys to offer legal advice.
- Maintain organized files to ensure accessibility of recent updates to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
- Analyze legal matters for conflicts, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on their behalf.
- Prepare legal documents and correspondence, including contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Communicate effectively with paralegals and clients to ensure efficient case management.
Qualifications:
What We Need From You:
- Must have passed the bar exam and hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
- Admission to the Texas Bar.
- Evidence of current Texas Driver's License and automobile insurance.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience handling family law cases (non-negotiable) in the state of Texas.
- Ability to track billable hours.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new programs easily.
- Strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
