If you want to take ownership of your cases, grow into a confident trial attorney, and be rewarded for the results you deliver, keep reading.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base + bonus totaling $150,000–$180,000 (based on experience), with performance bonuses that can push total compensation above $180,000.
- No origination requirement. We provide a steady pipeline of clients.
- Compensation growth tied directly to your production and results. The more you build, the more you earn.
- We reward quality work and strong client relationships, not just high billable hours.
- Reasonable billing expectations. Approximately 110 hours/month, designed to sustain high performance without burnout.
- Results matter more than hours logged. We care about client outcomes and results, not unnecessary billing.
- A firm culture that protects your longevity. You can build a high-income practice here for years, not just months.
What You'll Do:
You'll manage a full caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution, including:
- Divorce, including complex, high-asset, and high-conflict cases.
- Custody and parent-time disputes.
- Modifications and enforcement actions.
- Mediation, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
- Drafting and overseeing legal filings and developing case strategy.
- This is a hands-on litigation role. You will own your cases from start to finish.
Courtroom Experience & Growth
- While you'll initially support lead attorneys on active matters, we're looking for someone eager to grow into full case ownership:
- Serve as second chair on family law trials, with a clear path to first-chairing cases.
- Regular courtroom exposure. Hearings, arguments, and trial preparation are part of the job, not a someday-maybe.
- Increasing autonomy as your skills develop. We trust our attorneys and minimize micromanagement.
- A trajectory toward becoming a respected, capable trial attorney.
- Dedicated support staff. Paralegals and administrative team members handle the work that shouldn't be on your desk.
- Established systems and workflows for efficient case management.
- Strong client intake pipeline. No requirement to generate your own business, with opportunities to take on a more client-facing role over time.
- You focus on practicing law. We handle the rest.
Who You Are:
- 1–3 years of recent family law experience preferred, but may consider strong litigation background with interest in family law.
- Eager to manage your own caseload while also contributing as second chair on complex matters.
- Motivated to develop into a top-tier family law trial attorney.
- Strong client-facing skills. You communicate clearly, empathetically, and earn clients' trust.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in moving cases forward.
- Comfortable with accountability and ownership over your work.
- This is more than a job; it's a launchpad for a serious legal career:
- Handle increasingly complex and high-value family law cases.
- Gain substantial courtroom and trial experience.
- Pathways to leadership and expanded responsibility within the firm.
- Compensation that grows in lockstep with your performance.
We are a Utah family law firm building something different. A practice where attorneys earn well, develop elite litigation skills, work on meaningful cases, and operate with real autonomy and professional trust. We hold ourselves to high standards and expect the same from our team.
