Tibbs Law Office is seeking an experienced attorney to join our family law firm. Tibbs Law Office is looking for an emotionally mature and technologically savvy team member to represent family law clients throughout the greater Cincinnati area.
Candidates must be able to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow company procedures and protocols.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- A passion for working on sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence
- Ability to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively in emotional and high-stress situations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Extremely professional demeanor, in person and on the telephone
- Strict attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and ability to interact with Court personnel
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Excellent Advocacy skills
- Position requirements include the following:
- JD and Ohio Bar Exam results indicating passage
- Willingness to Litigate and appear in court on behalf of clients
- Ability to juggle a full case load
- Minimum of 110 billable hours required per month
- Notary Public Certification, or willingness to quickly test for and obtain
- Selected Candidate will learn the following skills:
- Ability to help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
- Ability to divide marital assets, including real estate & retirement accounts for high-net-worth cases & resolve complex property issues
- Ability to test for Family Law Certification, when eligible
- Effectively litigate and advocate for clients when attending court proceedings
- Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
