Beaulieu-Fawcett | Newell Law Group, P.A. is seeking an Associate Attorney with family law experience to join our team. The position is suited for an attorney who is client-focused, organized, and capable of effectively managing family law matters while working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

Our firm provides attorneys with the resources, technology, and support necessary to develop their practice, provide high-quality representation, and continue their professional growth.

Responsibilities:

Represent clients in family law matters, including dissolution of marriage, parenting and timesharing matters, support, equitable distribution, modification, enforcement, and related proceedings
Review and analyze financial records and complex financial issues involving income, assets, liabilities, equitable distribution, support, business interests, and other financial components of family law matters
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
Develop case strategies consistent with client objectives and applicable law
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation
Represent clients at hearings, trials, and other court proceedings
Communicate effectively with clients regarding case developments, strategy, expectations, and next steps
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in the management of cases
Maintain responsibility for deadlines, case preparation, and timely client communication
Participate in continuing legal education and firm-sponsored professional development
Participate in business development, professional networking, and community outreach activities

Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of family law experience
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong financial acumen and demonstrated ability to analyze financial records and complex financial issues relevant to family law matters
Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines
Sound professional judgment and attention to detail
Commitment to providing responsive, high-quality client service
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
