Position Overview:The Experienced Real Estate Attorney will manage residential real estate transactions from intake through closing, advise clients throughout the transaction process, review and negotiate key documents, coordinate with lenders and brokers, and help maintain a high standard of service across the firm's real estate practice.
This position requires both legal skill and business development ability. Candidates should be comfortable managing their own matters, supporting firm workflow, and helping grow relationships with real estate agents, lenders, clients, and referral partners.
Responsibilities:
- Manage residential real estate purchase, sale, refinance, and closing transactions.
- Review, draft, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, riders, addenda, closing documents, title documents, and related transaction materials.
- Advise buyers, sellers, lenders, and other parties on real estate transaction issues.
- Communicate directly with clients, brokers, lenders, title companies, opposing counsel, and internal staff.
- Identify and resolve title, contract, financing, inspection, scheduling, and closing-related issues.
- Conduct closings and oversee transaction completion.
- Manage multiple active files with accuracy, professionalism, and attention to deadlines.
- Maintain and develop relationships with real estate agents, lenders, investors, referral partners, and clients.
- Bring, maintain, or grow an existing book of business.
- Support the office team when needed, including file review, client communication, transaction coordination, and workflow management.
- Contribute to the firm's continued growth, reputation, and client service standards.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Massachusetts.
- Minimum 3–5 years of real estate law experience preferred.
- Strong experience with residential real estate closings required.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating purchase and sale agreements required.
- Experience with title review, lender requirements, closing documents, and transaction problem-solving.
- Existing book of business or established referral network strongly preferred.
- Ability to independently manage real estate files from start to finish.
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
- Professional, responsive, and organized.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced law office environment.
Compensation:
Starting at $90,000 per year, plus commission and/or origination opportunities for attorneys who bring in or develop business.
Compensation may vary based on experience, existing book of business, transaction volume, and business development potential.
Schedule:
Full-time position. Standard business hours, with flexibility required based on closings, client needs, and office workflow.
