We are a fast-growing 7-attorney law firm with three current locations and ~30 total employees. Recently voted Minnesota's Best Law Firm, in addition to numerous other accolades.
The role will involve collaborating with and mentoring other attorneys within the firm.
Pay commensurate with experience with opportunities for extensive commission-based growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury claims, from initial client consultation through trial or settlement.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, etc. with precision and clarity.
- Prepare for depositions, trial proceedings, and negotiations by developing compelling legal arguments and evidence presentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress and advising on legal options.
- Collaborate with experts in fields such as medical, accident reconstruction, or financial valuation to strengthen cases.
- Maintain meticulous case management records, ensuring compliance with procedural laws and court deadlines.
- Engage in legal advocacy at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
Experience:
- Proven experience handling personal injury law cases with a strong track record of successful litigation outcomes. 5+ years experience REQUIRED.
- Extensive knowledge of procedural law, statutory research, and courtroom procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate settlements effectively while preparing thoroughly for trial.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development.
- Prior law office experience managing personal injury cases.
- Strong writing skills for drafting motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence that are clear and persuasive.
- Experience conducting depositions and trial preparation to advocate confidently on behalf of clients.
