Job Summary:
Tessitore Mari Scott, PLLC. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with at least 3 to 5 years of proven expertise to join our legal team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle complex litigation and work in a dynamic practice area that includes the defense of auto & truck accident claims, premises liability, negligent security and general commercial litigation matters.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various legal disciplines, including personal injury law and litigation, with a passion for delivering exceptional client service. You will play a pivotal role in managing cases from inception through resolution, ensuring thorough legal research, persuasive legal drafting, and effective negotiation strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage your own diverse caseload and deadlines;
  • Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and various types of expert witnesses;
  • Perform legal analysis on new and existing claims, and develop case strategies;
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery and settlement agreements with precision and clarity;
  • Take depositions, attend hearings and participate in mediations and trial;
  • Attend site / scene / vehicle inspections;
  • Assist with all aspects of trial when required;
  • Represent clients confidently in court proceedings and settlement negotiations

Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience practicing insurance defense or related litigation fields;
  • Strong legal research, exceptional writing skills and persuasive oral advocacy;
  • Strong background in handling personal injury claims and complex litigation matters;
  • Proven negotiation skills that lead to successful case resolutions;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client centric approach emphasizing an unwavering commitment to exceptional client service;
  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar with no pending disciplinary action.
