Job Summary:Join our dynamic legal team as an Experienced IL Probate Attorney, where your expertise in probate law will shine!
We are a IL law firm with a robust and growing caseload of active probate and decedent matters.
This is a role for you if you like being the attorney, appearing in court, and leading clients through the probate experience.
We have a solid team of paralegal support in place to allow you to stay in the zone on cases.
This is a contract position: you will be paid for what you bill. There is no shortage of billable work here!
Minimum 20 hours billed each week.
What You'll Do:
- Provide expert legal counsel on probate, trust administration, and related decedent matters.
- Draft clear and precise legal documents.
- Negotiate settlements in probate disputes and other related litigation matters.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored legal solutions.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in probate law and related fields such as family law, environmental law, and personal injury law to provide informed advice.
Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Illinois state bar membership.
- Proven ability to handle a large and robust load of active probate and decedent cases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with landlord-tenant law, immigration law, securities law, workers' compensation law, patent law, tribal law & regulations.
- Strong writing skills with a focus on legal drafting and documentation.
- Experience in litigation with a successful track record of case management.
- Prior experience working in a law office setting with administrative responsibilities.
