A U.S. Law Firm with Eleven Offices Nationwide seeks a litigation associate with 3-6 years of experience to join our Commercial Litigation practice in the Chicago office.Applicants should have experience in the following: (i) researching, drafting and arguing motions in civil disputes in Illinois state and federal court, (ii) experience responding to subpoenas and managing high-volume discovery; as well as (iii) an interest in Illinois federal and state trial work. The successful candidate must have strong research and drafting skills.
Required Experience:
- Handling complex commercial disputes, including contract, business tort, and trade secret litigation
- Managing discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, and conducting depositions
- Appearing in state and federal court, including trial preparation and support
- Familiarity with Illinois procedural law and Cook County court systems
- Working directly with clients on case strategy and counseling
