We're a boutique estate planning and elder law firm serving high-net-worth families across Massachusetts. Our clients trust us to protect what matters most — and that trust is built on smart strategy, excellent follow-through, and personal attention. That's where you come in.
We're hiring an attorney who thrives on detail, values consistency, and finds real satisfaction in making sure the job gets done right. In this role, you'll bring estate plans to life, manage MassHealth and probate matters, and become a long-term guide to our clients as their lives evolve.
About Monteforte Law
We're not your average estate planning firm. Our clients expect more, and we deliver more.
- We've helped clients avoid millions in estate taxes through advanced planning techniques.
- We offer proprietary trust solutions you won't find at any other firm, like our 20/20 Hindsight Trust.
- We conduct 3-Year Checkups for every client to keep their plan relevant and effective.
- We invest in ongoing education, client service, and team development.
- And yes, we still celebrate wins with tacos, cake, and birthdays — sometimes all in the same day.
What You'll Do:
This is a client fulfillment role, not a sales position. You will become the trusted executor of our planning process and the person our clients rely on to carry it through.
- Conduct estate plan signing meetings, clearly explaining legal documents in plain language
- Manage and file probate cases, including court appearances as needed
- Handle MassHealth long-term care applications, including appeals and court hearings
- Lead 3-Year Checkup appointments for returning clients to ensure plans stay updated
- Review and finalize documents prepared by our team
- Collaborate with our intake and legal departments to ensure a seamless client experience
- Learn directly from Attorney Michael Monteforte, a published author and recognized expert in the field
This Role Is Right for You If You
- Are licensed to practice law in Massachusetts
- Have at least two years of experience in estate planning, elder law, or probate
- Are highly organized, methodical, and reliable
- Communicate with empathy and clarity, especially when explaining legal topics
- Can confidently appear in court for MassHealth or probate matters
- Appreciate systems, checklists, and consistency in your daily work
- Value follow-through more than flash
- Prefer client advocacy and fulfillment over sales and networking
This Role Is Not for You If You
- Don't believe details matter
- Struggle with time management or checklists
- Avoid client communication or courtroom appearances
- Prefer a chaotic, unstructured environment
What Makes This Role Different
- Zero billable hour requirements. Really.
- One work-from-home day per week, available after completion of training
- Direct mentorship from a firm founder with more than 20 years of experience
- A tight-knit, drama-free team where everyone has each other's back
- Clear systems, defined responsibilities, and a focus on doing things the right way
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary based on experience, plus paid holidays, generous PTO, 401(k) with match, and performance-based bonuses.
How to Apply:
Please send your resume and a cover letter that includes the following:
- Your favorite movie and why
- A short story about a time you caught an error or saved a client from a potential mistake
- A few sentences on why you find fulfillment work, client care, and courtroom advocacy meaningful
