Description:Peter J. Latz & Associates LLC is an Oak Park-area law firm seeking candidates for an associate estate and trust attorney position. This position is for candidates seeking to practice in estate planning, trust administration, and estate administration. The ideal candidate will have some relevant estate and trust experience.
Scope of Work:
The potential scope of work may include, among other tasks, (1) providing estate planning and administration counsel to clients of varying backgrounds, including but not limited to high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and their families; (2) representing fiduciaries throughout the probate and trust settlement process; (3) designing customized estate plans; and (4) drafting wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of Attorney, trust funding instruments, and other transfer instruments.
Role Description:
We are seeking a full-time, on-site attorney and a part-time, on-site attorney with 2+ years of experience in estate planning and trust and estate administration. The Attorney will play a key role in reviewing, drafting, and overseeing the execution of legal documents integral to estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of Attorney, and related instruments.
Qualifications:
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois
- Strong knowledge of estate planning techniques and probate procedures
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience in estate planning, probate, and trust and estate administration.
