We are seeking a Probate & Estate Planning Attorney to join our growing legal team. This position is ideal for an attorney with strong experience in estate planning and probate who values client-centered representation, enjoys collaboration, and thrives in a structured, professional law firm environment. Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, incapacity planning, asset protection, and legacy preservation
  • Develop and execute customized estate plans tailored to individual client needs
  • Draft, review, and oversee estate planning documents such as wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
  • Handle probate and trust administration matters from opening through closing
  • Prepare and file probate pleadings, inventories, accountings, and court documents
  • Counsel personal representatives, trustees, and beneficiaries regarding fiduciary duties and compliance
  • Represent clients in probate court proceedings and hearings as needed
  • Prepare for and lead client meetings, including consultations, review meetings, and signing sessions (in-office and occasional off-site)
  • Respond to trust funding, probate, and estate planning follow-up questions
  • Provide guidance and oversight to paralegals and legal assistants to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Participate in new and existing client consultations with a focus on strong engagement and retention
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, administrative staff, and management to ensure timely case progression
  • Maintain accurate and organized case notes and client records using legal practice management and CRM systems
  • Perform administrative follow-up tasks and ensure proper client file documentation
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with clients throughout the legal process
  • Ensure compliance with Florida law, court rules, and firm procedures

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • 3+ years of experience practicing estate planning and probate law
  • Strong drafting, legal research, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Florida probate rules and estate planning statutes
  • Experience with trust administration and probate court procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail abilities
  • Ability to independently manage client matters, deadlines, and sensitive issues with empathy and discretion
  • Client-focused mindset with strong engagement and retention skills
  • Familiarity with legal practice management software (Clio, Lawmatics, or similar) preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team

Compensation:
$125,000 - $150,000 yearly
