Description:

Our law firm is seeking a highly experienced estate planning attorney with a strong focus on trusts and technical document drafting. This role is centered on document drafting, customization, and maintaining and updating firm templates in response to changes in law and evolving practices.

This role is focused exclusively on internal drafting and technical work. The position does not involve client representation.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft and customize complex estate planning documents based on detailed attorney specifications
  • Maintain and refine firm templates to reflect changes in federal and state law
  • Ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and high drafting standards across documents
  • Work closely with senior attorneys on advanced trust planning structures

Requirements:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 5+ years of experience drafting complex estate planning documents
  • Substantial experience using WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, or similar drafting platforms
  • Strong technical understanding of advanced planning techniques, including ILITs, IDGTs, QPRTs, SLATs, CRATs/CRUTs, GRATs, and related structures
  • Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with complex drafting instructions

Preferred:
  • LL.M. in Taxation
  • Interest in technical drafting and template optimization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
