Our comprehensive financial planning model integrates tax strategy, wealth management, and estate planning to help clients protect and grow their assets. Due to continued expansion, we are hiring an experienced Estate Planning Attorney licensed in Arizona. This is a fully remote role for an attorney with advanced estate planning expertise.

Position Summary:
The Estate Planning Attorney will provide high-level legal guidance and draft estate planning documents for Falcon clients, including complex estates. This role supports advisors, planners, and leadership by ensuring accurate, compliant, and strategic estate planning solutions.

This position requires a seasoned attorney with significant experience in estate planning, trust drafting, Arizona probate avoidance strategies, and multi-layered family and tax considerations.

Responsibilities:
Client & Advisor Support
  • Conduct virtual client consultations regarding estate planning options, document structure, and legal considerations.
  • Draft and review revocable trusts, wills, pour-over wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with Falcon advisors to integrate estate planning documents into financial and tax strategies.
  • Advise clients on trust funding, titling, community property, and beneficiary coordination.

Advanced Legal Expertise
  • Provide guidance on complex matters such as:
  • multi-generational planning
  • business ownership and succession
  • blended family structures
  • real estate across multiple states
  • estate and gift tax considerations
  • Ensure all documents meet statutory requirements and reflect best practices in estate planning.
  • Stay informed of changes in trust law, estate tax law, and relevant federal developments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with financial planners, tax professionals, and leadership to deliver coordinated planning.
  • Contribute to internal templates, process improvements, and client education materials.
  • Help build and refine Falcon's estate planning service model as the firm grows.

Risk Management & Compliance
  • Maintain compliance with professional and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and proper documentation practices.
  • Identify legal risks and offer proactive recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications Required
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Arizona Bar license (in good standing).
  • 7–10+ years of estate planning experience with substantial trust drafting skills.
  • Experience advising on probate, trust formation, community property rules, and tax-related estate strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong client-service approach.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing deadlines and caseload.

Preferred:
  • Prior experience working with financial advisors, RIAs, or wealth management teams.
  • Knowledge of federal estate and gift tax planning.
  • Experience with multi-state estates or clients holding assets across jurisdictions.
