Description:
A Law Firm is seeking a motivated and passionate entry-level immigration attorney to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent law school graduates or attorneys looking to transition into immigration law. Bar license is required, and preference will be given to candidates licensed in North Carolina but we consider candidates licensed in other states as well. Training will be provided to the successful candidate, and you will be supervised by the managing attorney. This position is not remote.Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on immigration law matters
- Assist in the preparation and filing of various immigration petitions and applications
- Provide representation in immigration court hearings
- Prepare legal arguments and consultations for clients
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case status
- Attend immigration interviews and court hearings as needed
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of cases
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar license, preferably in North Carolina, but NC not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Passion for immigration law and advocacy
