Reed Smith is seeking a mid-level Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Associate to join its Energy & Natural Resources Group in Houston. The successful candidate will support a broad practice, advising clients on regulatory and compliance matters, permitting, enforcement and incident response across the energy, industrial, manufacturing, technology, transportation, and infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will also have experience in advising clients on environmental aspects of corporate and/or real estate transactions. Responsibilities for this role include advising on regulatory and compliance questions under EHS laws, managing EHS due diligence, drafting and negotiating environmental provisions in transaction documents, and managing and coordinating large teams (including technical consultants and local counsel). Candidates should have 2-5 years of relevant experience, strong drafting and analytical skills, and the ability to provide practical, business-focused advice on complex environmental and regulatory matters. Pay Range: $235,000 - $365,000. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith's pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
