We are growing our Employment Law division and seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join our team. If you are passionate about advocating for employees and enjoy meaningful litigation work in a collaborative environment, we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of plaintiff employment litigation matters from pre-suit through trial or settlement.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and correspondence.
- Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and case management conferences.
- Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit organziation, and trial strategy.
- Work closely with clients, providing responsive communication and exceptional service.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to develop effective litigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of civil litigation experience (employment law experience strongly preferred).
- Experience handling written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
- Strong organizational and time and case management skills with the ability to handle a heavy caseload independently.
- A client-focused approach and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Some first-chair or second-chair trial experience.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and/or Creole
- Experience in other practice areas
