Position Description:We are currently expanding into Northern California and seeking a full-time attorney to join our team. This is a fully remote position. Ideal candidate will have at least 3-8 years of plaintiff's- side employment litigation experience. Exceptionally strong research and writing skills are essential. We offer a base salary plus generous bonus structure, with a heavy emphasis on work-life balance.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Promptly prosecute cases through written and oral discovery from case inception all the way until trial.
- Fact investigation, legal research and writing, propounding and responding to discovery, and document review.
- Regular communication with clients, experts and defense counsel in an effective and courteous manner.
- Draft necessary motions and participating in informal discovery conferences.
- Engage in settlement discussions, negotiations and attending mediations.
- Actively participate in jury trials and arbitration hearings.
- Calendar and manage court deadlines.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 3-8 years of plaintiff's-side employment litigation experience required.
- Proficient legal research and writing skills.
- Ability to autonomously prosecute employment cases from inception until trial.
- Experience taking/defending depositions, preparing and arguing motions, and handling discovery independently is required.
- Trial experience is highly preferred.
- Interest in employment law, including all aspects of individual FEHA/wrongful termination cases and/or wage and hour class actions.
Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
