Job OverviewHillstone Law is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Employment Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will have a passion for employment law and a commitment to protecting the rights of employees. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Pay: $100,000.00 to $250,000.00 depending on experienceResponsibilities & Duties:- Provide legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims
- Conduct investigations into allegations of workplace misconduct and make recommendations for resolution
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and handbooks
- Advise clients on compliance with state and federal employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA
- Represent clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings
- Appear in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings
- Advise clients regarding employment law rights and remedies
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, mediations, and trial
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
Qualifications & Skills:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in California state
- Prior experience in employment law (3+ years required)
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws, including FEHA, PAGA, Wage & Hour, Labor Code, FMLA, and CFRA.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience handling depositions, mediations, motion practice, and court appearances
- Trial experience is a plus
- Excellent legal writing, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Familiarity with state and federal labor laws
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software
