Description:
Responsibilities:- Represent federal employees and private-sector employees in matters before the EEOC, MSPB, OSC, and in state/federal court involving discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower disclosures, sexual harassment, employee discipline, security clearance issues, and other employment-related claims.
- Manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy development, client counseling, administrative investigations, discovery (written discovery and depositions), motions practice, hearings, and trial.
- Engage in settlement negotiations, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution on behalf of clients.
- Collaborate closely with firm attorneys on complex, high-impact matters, including multi-plaintiff and consolidated actions.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, and risk assessment.
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals, as appropriate.
- Contribute to case intake evaluations, legal research initiatives, and strategic planning across the firm's federal and private-sector practice areas.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of litigation experience
- Participation in EEOC or MSPB hearings and/or in court trials, preferably as first-chair
- A self-starter who is team-oriented
- Excellent case management and organizational skills
- Outstanding research and writing skills
- Superb verbal and written communication skills
