King & Spalding seeks a junior to mid‑level associate (3rd to 6th year) to join its International Disputes practice in Washington, DC. The role focuses on international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations and related court proceedings, involving issues of public international law, jurisdiction, and enforcement. The firm's International Disputes practice is ranked No. 1 globally by Global Arbitration Review and Band 1 by Chambers Global, and represents corporations, sovereign states, and state‑owned entities in significant disputes under ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, and ICDR rules.Qualified candidates will have large law firm experience in both international arbitration and complex commercial litigation, including work on international commercial or investor‑State arbitrations under ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, or ICDR rules. Experience should include drafting written submissions and evidentiary materials; researching international law, treaty, jurisdictional, and damages issues; and assisting with hearing preparation and advocacy. Exposure to arbitration‑related court and appellate proceedings, including discovery and award enforcement, is preferred. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, and communication skills. Judicial clerkship experience is a plus. Local bar admission required.

The anticipated full-time annualized salary range is $260,000 to $390,000. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
