Established multi state company seeking a contract attorney licensed in New York with experience handling employer side administrative, regulatory, and compliance related matters involving the New York Workers' Compensation Board.
The ideal candidate has experience advising employers on Board proceedings, compliance disputes, penalty matters, coverage related issues, and administrative responses. We are seeking someone who can review documentation, provide strategic guidance, and assist with drafting submissions and responses as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Review administrative notices, correspondence, and supporting documentation
- Assist with employer compliance and regulatory matters
- Prepare response letters, affidavits, and related submissions
- Provide legal analysis and strategic recommendations
- Assist with negotiations and resolution efforts when appropriate
- Advise leadership regarding risk exposure and procedural requirements

Qualifications:
- Active New York Bar license required
- Experience handling employer side Workers' Compensation Board matters
- Strong administrative and regulatory defense background
- Ability to work independently and communicate efficiently
- Prior experience with Board penalties, compliance disputes, or coverage related matters preferred
