Mid-sized women-owned education law firm with statewide practice representing school and community college districts seeks an associate to join its Students and Special Education Practice Group. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years of legal experience, including the below qualifications:
  • Litigation and/or administrative process experience, including handling discovery and preparing pleadings; experience in mediations, arbitrations, and/or trials a plus
  • Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills
  • Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entities, including administrative hearings litigation
  • Education law experience and/or public entity experience preferred
  • Admission to the California State Bar
