Position Overview:
A Renowned Trial Attorney is seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to serve as Director of Mentorship. This individual will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of growth and collaboration by connecting attorneys at all levels—from the most junior associates to the most senior trial lawyers.

The Director of Mentorship will work closely with the Dean of Professional Development, the Director of Professional Development, and the Attorney Managers to design and implement a structured mentorship program. This role ensures that knowledge, experience, and firm values are passed down consistently, supporting career development and reinforcing TJH's reputation as the premier personal injury law firm in the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and oversee a formal mentorship program for all attorneys at the firm.
  • Match junior attorneys with mid-level and senior attorneys to foster career growth and trial readiness.
  • Partner with the Dean and Director of Professional Development to align mentorship with broader
  • training objectives.
  • Collaborate with Attorney Managers to ensure mentorship complements performance and case responsibilities.
  • Create structures for reverse mentoring, allowing senior attorneys to gain fresh perspectives from
  • newer attorneys.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of mentorship pairings and adjust as needed.
  • Develop workshops, roundtables, and firm-wide mentorship events to encourage knowledge sharing.
  • Serve as a resource for attorneys seeking guidance on professional development, career goals, and firm culture.
  • Report mentorship outcomes and engagement levels to the Executive Committee.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active Texas Bar license preferred.
  • 8+ years of litigation or senior leadership experience, with demonstrated mentoring or training involvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven track record of fostering professional growth in junior colleagues or teams.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
