Description:

Duties: Under the supervision of the Section Chief, Assistant Attorneys General and Deputy Director, the Assistant Section Chief for the Litigation Practice Group in the Employment Litigation Section will assign and supervise the work of the deputies in the Section; aid in planning and managing the operations of the Section; evaluate the performance of and conduct case file reviews with deputies in the Section; work with and manage outside counsel in employment litigation matters; and perform other duties as required.

Requirements:
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor. Admission to practice as an Attorney-at-Law in the State of New Jersey required.
  • Experience: Four (4) years of experience as a practicing attorney, one (1) year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
  • License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Preference: Preference will be given to applicants who possess strong employment litigation experience in both State and Federal court with demonstrated ability to handle employment litigation cases as trial counsel.
