Polsinelli is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join its nationally recognized Data Center Development practice in our Kansas City office. This position offers the opportunity to represent developers, investors, hyperscale users, lenders, and other project stakeholders in all phases of data center development across the United States. Interested candidates should have excellent academic credentials, experience in a law firm or similar environment and superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in complex commercial real estate and development transactions, including site acquisition and disposition, ground leasing, title and survey review, land use and zoning, state and local permitting and entitlements, utility and interconnection agreements, construction and development contracts, commercial leasing, and other project development matters.
Candidates with experience in renewable energy, digital infrastructure, project finance, public-private partnerships, or other infrastructure-related projects are encouraged to apply. Experience coordinating environmental and engineering consultants and advising clients through the permitting, diligence, and development process is highly desirable.
Successful candidates will possess excellent drafting, negotiation, and project management skills, strong business judgment, and the ability to manage sophisticated transactions involving multiple stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's real estate, energy, finance, environmental, construction, and regulatory practices to deliver practical, business-focused legal solutions for clients developing critical digital infrastructure.
