Role Description
The Criminal Defense Attorney will work on-site in New York, NY in a full-time capacity, handling a diverse caseload of criminal matters, including white collar and other complex cases. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting motions and briefs, and developing case strategies. The attorney will interview clients and witnesses, analyze evidence, and represent clients in hearings, trials, and conferences in state and federal courts, as well as before regulatory bodies. The role also involves close collaboration with colleagues, maintaining clear client communication, and managing cases from intake through resolution to ensure diligent and ethical representation.

Qualifications:
  • Candidates should possess strong foundational skills in Law and Criminal Law, with licensed admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission).
  • Candidates should possess specialized expertise in Criminal Defense Law and Criminal Defense, including experience handling felony and complex white collar matters.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Research skills, including legal research using modern research tools and the ability to analyze statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Candidates should possess excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including brief writing, motion practice.
  • Candidates should possess sound professional judgment.
  • Prior experience in federal criminal practice, regulatory enforcement, or government investigations is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in New York, NY, manage a demanding workload, collaborate effectively with a trial team, and maintain the highest ethical and professional standards.
