Role Objective:
We are seeking to expand our Criminal Defense practice group to Texas. The Criminal Defense Attorney will help our firm establish a presence in this market while working independently on cases and focusing on achieving the best possible result for each and every client. Responsibilities/Duties:

Handle cases independently from inception through resolution, including felony jury trials.
Timely and professional client communication.
Develop legal strategy and provide clear counsel to clients.
Develop cases to win.
Perform legal research and writing.
Make regular court appearances.
Collaborate with team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Must be barred and in good standing in the State of Texas.
Minimum of 5 years' experience focused on criminal defense cases.
Ability to handle a full caseload independently.
Knowledge of court rules and procedures.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to promote yourself as an attorney to clients.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Am entrepreneurial spirit and drive to help out firm establish itself in a new market.
