Rhino Lawyers is seeking a motivated and experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join its growing practice in Pinellas and Pasco County. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful courtroom experience, direct involvement in cases, and the ability to work remotely.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling criminal cases from beginning to resolution, including motion practice, hearings, and trial participation. Experience with state criminal matters is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, file, and argue motions effectively in criminal courts.
  • Manage case preparation including discovery, hearings, and trial participation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, providing guidance and managing expectations throughout the legal process.
  • Work closely and communicate directly with the other attorneys on significant cases, while independently handling routine to moderately complex matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare high-quality written legal documents for motions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and improvement in criminal defense practice.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience practicing criminal law, including motion practice, hearings, and trial work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially client-facing communication.
  • Ability to conduct detailed legal research and produce clear, well-written legal documents.
  • Interest in continuous learning and professional growth within criminal defense.
  • A minimum of a year (2) years of criminal experience is required.
