The Strategic Knowledge Management (SKM) team, integral to the Legal Operations team, plays a pivotal role in shaping and advancing knowledge and information management initiatives for A Media-Streaming and Video-Rental Company's legal functions. While our primary emphasis is on supporting the legal team, we recognize the importance of fostering effectiveness and impact, through close collaboration with cross-functional partners.

As the Manager in this dynamic role, you will work with diverse legal and cross-functional teams, navigating intersections that demand critical thinking, innovation, and sound judgment as you work through a multitude of issues and decisions. You will exercise strong project management skills, proactively and independently driving initiatives while aligning with the overarching team goals and roadmap. Success in this position requires adept collaboration, as building and managing relationships are integral components of this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Driving innovation of contract template language as part of the contract lifecycle management strategy and leveraging technology to advance efficiency.
  • Project management by leading stakeholders through all phases of projects from understanding the pain points, translating to requirements and scheduling in product roadmaps.
  • Drafting, reviewing, developing and maintaining complex contract templates, including single source guidance on the use of such language.
  • Collaborating with vendors and cross-functional partners in deploying the next generation of contract drafting technologies.

Qualifications:
  • JD required or 7+ years of equivalent transactional legal experience drafting and reviewing entertainment/technology legal agreements.
  • Ability to read and understand legal contracts and articulate issues using business, production, or legal context.
  • Tech-savvy and can quickly adapt to new or changing systems; fluency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility and openness to assume additional projects as necessary or assigned.

Preferred:
  • Production, studio or network company experience.
  • Fluency with Airtable and other knowledge management tools.
  • Knowledge of the evolving and international media landscape.
  • Proficiency in other languages.
