What will I be doing?
Advise clients on compliance with international trade controls in corporate transactions, including due diligence to identify risks related to sanctions, import/export control, anti-money laundering, anti-corruption and CFIUS, and negotiations of trade-related provisions. Counsel clients navigating international trade issues involving U.S. and Japanese law. Conduct business development activities involving United States, Japan and Asia-Pacific region markets. Potential travel to Japan one to two times per year. $420,000/year.
Requirements:
J.D. or LL.M. and three (3) years of experience as international trade lawyer or related. Must have experience with advising U.S. and non-U.S. clients on U.S. and Japanese trade related issues including: sanctions, import/export controls, anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, CFIUS and international trade issues related to corporate transactions, investments and due diligence, negotiation of international trade-related provisions in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) agreements, financings and other corporate transactions. Must have license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
