Barclay Damon LLP, a leading regional law firm of approximately 300 attorneys that operates from a strategic platform of offices located in the Northeastern United States, Washington DC, and Toronto, is seeking an experienced energy regulatory attorney for its Energy Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced practitioners on matters throughout the Northeast.

Candidates must be licensed to practice in New York State or eligible to waive into the New York State Bar and should have four to eight years of experience and capabilities in administrative, siting, or permitting proceedings before the New York State Public Service Commission, New York State Siting Board, New York State Office of Renewable Energy Siting and Transmission, or similar administrative agencies with jurisdiction over utility and energy facilities.

Candidates should have experience with regulatory approval proceedings, including but not limited to those under Public Service Law 68, 69, and 70 and Articles VII, VIII, and 10 as well as ISO/RTO tariffs and processes, including interconnection, NYSERDA programs, and regulatory matters involving energy service companies (ESCOs). Experience with utility rate cases, due diligence, and M&A transactions involving energy assets and proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission would be a plus.

Salary range: $120,000 to $175,000.

This salary range represents the firm's good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for the position and does not include performance- or merit-based bonuses or other benefits offered by the firm. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's years of experience, qualifications, skill set, and office location.
