Osborn Maledon, P.A., one of Arizona's premier law firms, is seeking an associate with 2-3 years of experience to join our corporate transactions group. Our corporate clients range from startup ventures to household names, while our investor clients range from angels to family offices to established venture capital and private equity firms. Osborn Maledon is known as a market leader in representing technology companies, entrepreneurs, and investors in the Southwest's growth-company ecosystem. We are committed to serving as trusted advisors to all our clients providing them with the core outside general counsel services needed throughout their lifecycles. Our most successful associates are often lawyers with ties to the Southwest, coming to us after stints with Biglaw firms. Members of our corporate transactions group previously worked at Mayer Brown, Latham & Watkins, Morris Nichols, and others. These lawyers have thrived in an environment where they continue to have a sophisticated corporate practice, but also experience the quality of life offered by Arizona's outdoor lifestyle, family-friendly pace of life, and lower cost of living. We pride ourselves on providing our young lawyers with significant opportunities for community leadership and client development success - opportunities often unavailable with other firms and in other legal markets.
The associate we are seeking will work with us in counseling clients in connection with sophisticated transactions ranging from strategic and financial M&A deals, angel and venture capital financings, joint ventures, debt offerings, and other complex commercial transactions. This associate will also be an integral part of our outside general counsel services, working directly with clients in corporate governance, sophisticated contracting, and other day-to-day matters.
We require top academic performance from a nationally ranked law school, strong writing and analytical skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a collegial team environment. All candidates must be admitted to the Arizona Bar, willing to sit for the Arizona Bar, or qualified for admission on motion to the Arizona Bar. We will also consider a candidate's prior business, technical, or financial experience.
