Wheeler Law PLLC is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and driven Family Law Attorney to join our growing team. Our family law practice is dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation in divorce, legal decision-making and parenting time disputes, child support, protective orders, post-decree modifications, paternity matters, and other domestic relations cases. We are committed to delivering strategic advocacy while treating every client with empathy, respect, and professionalism during some of the most challenging times in their lives.The ideal candidate has at least three years of Arizona family law litigation experience and is confident managing a full caseload from consultation through trial. This attorney should possess excellent courtroom, negotiation, and communication skills, thrive in a collaborative team environment, and share our commitment to outstanding client service. Spanish fluency or proficiency is highly preferred, as many of our clients are Spanish-speaking. Job Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a full caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution, including complex divorce, custody, property division, and post-decree cases.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, depositions, and trials.
- Develop case strategy, analyze financial and legal issues, and collaborate with experts when appropriate.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, parenting plans, and other legal documents.
- Provide strategic, practical legal advice while maintaining clear, compassionate communication with clients.
- Negotiate favorable settlements and aggressively advocate for clients in litigation when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with court rules, deadlines, ethical obligations, and firm procedures.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to provide exceptional client service and efficient case management.
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm's family law practice through professionalism, leadership, and high-quality legal representation.
Requirements:
- Active license to practice law in Arizona and membership in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Arizona family law experience, including litigation.
- Strong knowledge of the Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure, Arizona Revised Statutes, and local court rules.
- Experience managing a family law caseload independently from initial consultation through resolution.
- Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Exceptional client service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Spanish language proficiency is preferred, but not required.
