The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of significant experience in corporate transactions with an emphasis on private M&A and private company financings, including private equity, venture capital, and general corporate governance. Experience with M&A in regulated industries is a plus.
Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of acquisition agreements and other documentation used in complex M&A and private equity transactions and proficiency in drafting the same. Candidates should be well-versed in the mechanics of leading an M&A transaction from inception to closing and have experience leading due diligence teams. This position requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of maturity, and a proven willingness to accept significant responsibility and manage a challenging workload within a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have the ability to work effectively as part of a team across practice areas and a willingness to train junior associates. Strong academic credentials and writing skills are essential.

The expected pay range for this position is:
Washington, D.C. range: $260,000- $380,000 per year
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
