A Law Firm Handling Corporate and Technology Matters, a global Am Law 50 firm, is seeking a senior regulatory healthcare attorney to join their nationally recognized healthcare team.

This position can be based in any of the following offices: Washington, D.C., Century City, Chicago, or New York; however, we will consider candidates in any of our U.S. offices. Remote candidates will not be considered.

As a core member of our healthcare group, working with the national head of our healthcare group, you will be expected to work collaboratively with our attorneys and clients to provide critical guidance on how our clients can achieve their goals. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to advise some of the most dynamic and innovative healthcare clients in the country in all phases of their businesses, primarily focusing on the navigation and application of regulatory requirements, whether in the context of day-to-day compliance counseling, defending government investigations, litigation, or structuring strategic transactions.

You will join a strong team of partners guiding and overseeing your work, mentoring you in every phase of your practice, and supporting your professional development. Regular career progression and training sessions are key components of our health care team's practice. You will learn the ins and outs of healthcare-specific regulatory frameworks and how they impact our clients' strategic initiatives, including their transactions, litigation, and government investigations. We will provide you with a broad base of counseling, transactional, and litigation experiences, all wrapped around regulatory compliance considerations, as well as industry knowledge that can form the basis of your own practice. We will encourage and support your efforts to develop direct relationships with our team's clients – which include nearly the entirety of the health care industry – in furtherance of your broader career goals.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience focusing on regulatory matters in the healthcare sector is required.
  • Familiarity with key health care regulatory requirements, including compliance with the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare conditions of participation, and state fee-splitting, self-referral, and corporate practice of medicine restrictions.
  • Experience in HIPPA, health care privacy, data breach, Knox-Keene, digital health, telehealth, healthcare technology transactions, ACOs (Accountable Care Organizations), and/or Medicare Direct Contracting Enterprise (DCD) program, is a plus.
  • Excellent oral communication, writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects, work effectively as a member of a team and communicate directly with clients regularly.
  • Candidates must be admitted to the bar in the state in which they are applying.
  • Outstanding academic credentials from an accredited law school is required.
