Who You Are & The Impact You Will Have:The Corporate Counsel - Sales supports the company's legal operations in a variety of matters, with a focus that includes customer contract negotiations, negotiating and drafting other transactional matters, general corporate matters, corporate governance, internal corporate policies and procedures, along with drafting and negotiating other transactional matters including managing books and record keeping.
What you will do:
- Overseeing general corporate legal matters
- Negotiating and drafting customer contracts as well as various other transactional matters
- Manage customer-related legal issues
- Provide practical legal guidance on sales-related matters
- Assisting with legal and regulatory compliance
- Assisting with corporate governance matters
- Assisting with compliance with various domestic and international privacy laws
- Assisting with the company's data security program as they intersect with customer agreements
- Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline contracting
- Assisting with management of the Company's insurance program and operations
- Performing a broad range of legal matters and general business matters based on the needs of the company, as assigned.
- Working with and managing outside counsel, counterparties, insurers, and other third parties as needed
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials
- Admission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of Columbia
- Three or more years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer working in a general corporate transactional practice
