Job Brief:
This position will proactively assist with the assessment and management of A Global Leader in the Commercial Explosives Industry Americas legal affairs, with a strong focus on government contracts, including the bidding process, negotiation phase, and operating in regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do:
In this position you will be responsible to assist with the assessment and management of Dyno Nobel Americas legal affairs, with a strong focus on government contracts, including the bidding process, negotiation phase, and operating in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role will also assist with legal matters across Dyno Nobel Americas, including governance, transactions, contracting and more.
  • Experience with and understanding of legal requirements associated with federal government contracts, particularly defense-related contracts
  • Provide legal guidance in bidding and negotiating government contracts and subcontracts
  • Advise on operating in compliance with regulations associated with government contracts
  • Manage variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Provide strong leadership and legal counsel to the Dyno Nobel business
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and business, community, and industry organizations to promote goodwill.
  • Encourage, build and maintain collaborative alliances and relevant participation and direction in conjunction with relevant third-party institutions and industry organizations.
  • Support with management of regulatory claims and proceedings, and internal and external investigations, with efficient use of internal resources and external counsel.
  • Provide legal support for various projects as required.
  • Respond professionally and timely to address legal and commercial problems and business requests.
  • Utilize judgment and make clear, rational and timely decisions in the best interests of Dyno Nobel consistent with available facts and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Achieve deliverables and positive results consistently while maintaining high service, quality, responsiveness, efficiency and professional ethical standards.
  • Build trust and respect between Dyno Nobel Legal and all of its stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver memoranda's, initial drafts, and final drafts of legal documents
  • Deliver research, factual information, counsel, and guidance on legal questions or issues.
