The Corporate Counsel Associate Director (AD) performs a variety of sophisticated legal activities to protect the organization's reputation and business interests and help ensure it complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provides legal advice and represents the organization in a variety of legal matters.
  • Assesses legal risks and provides recommendations and alternative solutions to business leaders. Makes recommendations to executive management with regard to risks and strategies.
  • Supports legal needs in relevant functional area.
  • Manages day-to-day legal inquiries.
  • Provides legal support for various corporate transactions, pending or threatened litigation, commercial disputes, employment matters, or other corporate legal issues.
  • Serves as the primary contact for assigned functional groups outside the legal department.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor (JD), or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous corporate legal experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years' experience).
  • In some cases an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
