An International Wine & Spirits Brands is seeking a Corporate Attorney to join its fast-paced, intellectually rich, collaborative environment. The location of this position is based in Stamford, Connecticut; however, remote work options may be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (e.g., marketing, advertising, sponsorship, vendor, distribution, supply and technology, etc.)
- Responsible for providing legal advice and advising internal teams on contract terms, best practices, commercial implications, legal risks, etc.
- Responsible for supporting initiatives to improve contract processes, including by creating standardized templates, reducing cycle times and increasing efficiency
- Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate required
- Active license to practice law and ability to qualify as in-house counsel in Connecticut
- 4+ years of corporate/transactional experience with experience in negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements
- Mid-to-large law firm and/or in-house counsel experience preferred
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent organizational skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of professionalism, integrity and commitment
- Excellent legal and commercial judgment and acumen
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines/priorities
- Team player
