Description:
A well-established Southern Nevada law firm that focuses on construction litigation is seeking an experienced litigation associate attorney. This is not a traditional associate position - it's an opportunity for a long-term role and considerable growth at a stable firm.We are looking for responsible candidates who take ownership of their work and want to play a purposeful role in developing and maintaining client relationships and shaping the future of our firm.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with all aspects of disputes that arise in Nevada's construction industry, including enforcing the client's contractual rights and statutory rights under NRS 108 and NRS 624.
- Advocate in Nevada state and federal courts.
- Team with 1-2 other attorneys and other staff on various cases.
- Create litigation work product like pleadings, briefs, written discovery requests and responses, etc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
- Collaborate directly with firm leadership on strategic growth initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada.
- Self-motivation.
- Sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and on teams as needed.
- Meaningful experience in commercial litigation (3-7 years).
- Experience in construction litigation and construction law is a plus, but not required - we are willing to invest in developing the right candidate's skills in this area.
- Strong research, writing, oral advocacy, case management, and time management skills.
- Interest in further developing litigation skill set and experience.
