Job Requirements:
WilmerHale is looking for lawyers with four to five years of post-JD experience to join our Congressional Investigations Practice. Over the last 10 years, we have represented clients in front of both chambers of Congress, with every major committee and across virtually every industry sector. These representations often entail a multitude of needs including handling formal inquiries and formal committee requests and subpoenas; managing discovery; drafting testimony; guiding witnesses through preparation; overseeing public relations; and coordinating multi-branch strategies to address overlapping governmental inquiries.
Qualified candidates will have experience in the following areas:
- Experience with congressional inquiries and the litigation or regulatory inquiries that arise in response
- Strong writing skills
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor
- Attorney must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in in the state/jurisdiction in which the position is based
- Successful candidates will have strong analytical skills, and a willingness to positively contribute to a collaborative work environment
- Prior Congressional staff experience a plus
