Job Description and Salary
ArentFox Schiff LLP is seeking litigation associates with 4 plus years of experience to join its San Francisco or Los Angeles offices. The ideal candidate will have 4 or more years of complex commercial litigation experience at a national firm, with experience in one or more of the following areas: trade secrets, business torts, antitrust, and class action defense. Applicants should have excellent research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills, and strong experience managing key workstreams such as motion practice, written discovery, depositions, and pretrial preparation. Experience taking and defending depositions and making court appearances (first or second chair) is strongly preferred. Candidates should be proactive team players who are highly organized, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and comfortable with direct client contact and responsibility for cases. Excellent academic credentials are required; a judicial clerkship is a plus. California bar required. Please submit resume, undergraduate and law school transcripts, and a writing sample.
The good faith base salary range for this position is a minimum of $275,000 to a maximum of $355,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of relevant experience, education, applicable bar admissions, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer a comprehensive bonus program with opportunities for discretionary incentives that may include productivity, business development, and merit-based components, subject to applicable policies.
