Responsibilities:
- Manage a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, trial preparation, and trials
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda
- Develop case strategy and advise clients on risk, exposure, and resolution options
- Represent clients in court appearances, arbitrations, and mediations
- Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings
- Supervise junior attorneys and support staff as appropriate
- Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts
Requirements:
- Connecticut Bar admission in good standing or ability to become admitted promptly
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience
- Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively in a team environment
